Is there a weight limit?
K-90210 finds that small and medium-sized pets are best served in the mobile grooming studio. At this time, we provide services to long hair breeds 40lbs and under and smooth coat breeds 50lbs and under. Please contact us at hello@K-90210.com if you have any further questions regarding services for your pet.
What vaccinations do you require?
Los Angeles County requires a current rabies vaccination, and K-90210 adheres to this policy. All K-90210 clients four months and older must have a valid rabies vaccination.
How long does it take for you to groom my dog?
K-90210 offers limited daily appointments to provide ample time to care for your pet. On average, we ask for 1-2 hours to complete the service. Time may vary depending on size, breed, coat/styling needs, and your pet’s familiarity with grooming. We thank you for providing enough time to ensure your pet’s comfort, safety, and style.
Can I stay with my pet during the grooming service?
Due to insurance restrictions, we do not permit parents to join the styling sessions. Additionally, we prioritize a calm and safe grooming environment, and pets are often more excited in the presence of their companions. If you’re interested in viewing the salon, K-90210 is happy to provide a tour of the grooming studio upon request.
Does K-90210 groom senior dogs?
K-90210 caters to dogs below the age of 14 and pets free of conditions that can be exacerbated by grooming. For our senior pets, styling may need to be short and low maintenance to minimize grooming time and keep the pet’s stress level low. We recommend that seniors 14 years of age and older, and pets with chronic health issues, seek grooming in a veterinary setting, as they often need special care and attention.
What does the full groom include?
Each of our spa services includes a skin-nourishing bath and picture-perfect blowout. Ears are flushed to remove any debris. Nails are expertly filed and rounded. Teeth are cleaned with enzymatic toothpaste and a breath-freshening foam. Your pet is finished with an organic argan oil gloss and a mist of our signature K-90210 fragrance.
What if my pet is matted?
It is essential that matting is removed to keep your pet healthy and comfortable. Matting not only damages your pet’s coat, but it can restrict airflow to the skin. This can cause skin irritation and sores beneath the tangles.
While light matting can often be brushed out, severe matting may be shaved to avoid a long, uncomfortable de-matting process. If your K-90210 stylist determines that the matting can be removed safely and humanely, there will be an extra charge for extended de-matting.
What if my pet bites?
Like people, pets have many likes and dislikes, especially regarding grooming. For the safety of your pet and their stylist, please disclose if your pup has a history of biting or if they respond with biting for particular aspects of the groom. This information will help your K-90210 stylist better prepare for the grooming appointment. If your pet has a severely aggressive response to grooming, K-90210 recommends consulting a trainer and seeking grooming services in a veterinary setting.
How often should I have my pet groomed?
While each pet’s lifestyle and hygiene needs differ, we believe grooming is integral to your pet’s health and well-being. Some families prefer their pups groomed every 2-4 weeks, while others may find a schedule of 6-8 weeks better. Your K-90210 stylist will help you find the best grooming schedule that suits your needs.
